CEO and Company not stable

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Flexible if you have a decent Supervisor

Cons

Managers and Directors get away with unethical behavior/retaliation and down right harassment of staff. The Benefits are terrible. The insurance covers nothing. Dismal raises even though CEO makes 1.5 mil per year to drive a company into the ground. 401k cut. Taxed on a rewards program, boost. Constant negative vibe. Many great Supervisors have left and more on the way since now they must go into office for nothing. Director in MR is a chronic liar. Nothing more to take from staff that worked so hard. The company is unstable and the rules are a moving target without any policies.

Pros

Many opportunities to learn while promoting a growth mindset. Less micromanagement than when I first started. Given a lot of autonomy. Teams structured environments within the corporate shell make the teams feel like family. Constantly changing fast paced environments. 1 on 1's given frequent opportunities for feedback.

Cons

WPS has created an environment where it does not pay for you to work hard. Merrit increases are "attainable" above 2% but very unlikely. It is nearly impossible to achieve more than a critical core contribution. They like to dangle carrots to keep you motivated with promises that do not come to fruition. The career ladder has changed to the "growth mindset" meaning yes you are learning, but you are expected to wear several different hats outside of your job description without any merit increases, aside from boost points for that laser pointer for your cat, Working on outside projects to help the team may get you a quick recognition but nothing noteworthy. While I felt like the team was a family, during my last 2 months the team distanced itself from me, my supervisor included, did not spend any time talking to me, constantly canceled our 1 on ones or had an emergency so they could not attend, which I felt was very unprofessional as I handled the layoff with poise and well wishes for the rest of the team.
