Pros

Flex schedule until WPS system is down and then they use the flex schedule for you to work around the issue. So system goes down from 2-4pm and you were working until 4pm, now you need to work those two hours once the system is back up. So I have no pros.

Cons

Low pay, impossible metrics of 100% quality and 100% productivity with no real training or support that you can TALK to. Very vague guidelines unless you have prior knowledge of what is means. They have illiterate and uneducated people writing the guidelines that you have to follow perfectly or you are fired. They are so ridiculous that in a meeting they will say ‘Skype me or feel free to ask me a question anytime’ then people do and then in the next meeting ‘stop asking me questions I have other work that is more important to complete’. They have no idea what the answer is so they don’t want to answer you. They have a make it or leave attitude. They have the worst business model I have ever seen or been a part of. You will literally be written up and ‘performance managed’ for not meeting whatever they want to say you are not meeting. I was written up for 88% quality and 100% productivity on 10k claims processed. It is IMPOSSIBLE to not get any errors because the auditors and UCs and guidelines are DUMB. Dumb people hold your score in their hands and they control changing the score around of you don’t agree with them. It’s so stupid!!!!! They promote very dumb people to ‘support’ the department but all they do is gossip and smoke and could care less about what needs to be done to be better. They are kind of smart though to apply and promote so they have a fighting chance of maintaining employment. I quit because I am not motivated by threats of being terminated without anyone talking to me about why I made the decisions I made and using their brains to agree with not failing an audit when it is a gray area and the error made did not impact the correct claim payment. ‘You’re gonna be fired but you paid the claim correctly and efficiently, you just should have done it this other way even though the guideline is very vague, we don’t care now we are going to write you up and fire you because it take 50 perfect audits to negate one zero audit and we don’t have the manpower to audit you that many times’. There are other jobs that pay similarly or more that want to keep the people they hire. This company is a rotating door and they like it that way. Do not waste your time. You may think ‘I’m not like the person writing this, they are just disgruntled’. I am only disgruntled because their is NO chance of keeping your job as a VA claims processor. Not at all. I am a supporter of setting goals and meeting them. But you are not set up for success here. I promise you.

Pros

Vendors for lunch pto

Cons

THIS PLACE IS A HOT MESS. Since January 1st things have gone downhill for this company. The company is worrying about the wrong things and are very unethical. They are so busy worried about why a agent is in the bathroom for a minute or two than figuring out why they are millions behind in claims. No one in that building knows anything and they do not want to train properly because they are so scared to have people off the phones. And just recently customer service has been dealing with claims from before 2017. We don’t have any information on these claims In the systems and when patients and providers call we cannot give them answers because we do not have access to any information from 2017. It was big mistake having agents deal with claims from 2017 with no information on them. And just recently they took away hour lunches just so we can stay on the phone longer. This is very unethical and not fair at all. The company lies about everything and does not care about the employees. And it has been brought to many employees attention that they are on a 90 day probation because they are messing everything up. Many patients have been calling in because they cannot get medical care because wps is not processing claims in a timely manner. EVERYDAY PEOPLE ARE QUITTING BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BEING TREATED FAIR.

Pros

None. Michael Hamerlik is looking to drive this company into the ground.

Cons

Michael Hamerlik is nothing but an evil soul. He is out to tear this company down and does not appreciate any of his long-term employees. If you were smart, you would never work for this company.
