Pros

WSECU's profit sharing program was very fair and a nice perk .The vesting period to obtain retirement benefits was on the short side -- 3 years -- which was nice. Standard "banking" hours made having a work/life balance possible.

Cons

Being paid only once per month made it difficult to manage my money/personal budget and bills when I first transitioned to employment here. Communication from the management team to us as employees was sporadic and internal processes could be a bit bureaucratic.

Thanks for the nice comments about our vesting schedule and incentive plan. Good news, we now pay-semi-monthly!

Pros

Great room for advancement and learning opportunities given by management. Many training seminars are held monthly and all employees are given equal time to attend

Cons

Management has many cliques with employees and it appears these cliques were given more advancement opportunities and recieved promotions more.

Pros

They have some of the best benefits around. While thier base salaries are lower than market, thier benefits package definetely makes up for it.

Cons

They have some people at the VP level that do little to no work . I think the upper management decides to do nothing about it as they are afraid it will reflect poorly on them (i.e. they had a bad hire). They should worry less about this and more about getting rid of people who would barely get hired as a admin assistant at any other employer--when they have a VP title at the CU for some reason.
