Toxic company, you're just a number

Pros

Good pay, decent benefits and some positions are remote or hybrid.

Cons

Leadership is very toxic. You are just a number, which can be a good thing, but it also means that they have no problem replacing people with cheaper labor. Leadership is constantly changing processes and it's very hard to ever know what's going on, or what you're job truly entails.

Pros

Great place for senior staff as they the schedule is flexible with lots of remote work.

Cons

Sometimes you end up charging a lot of overhead. Projects only get provided favorites and not the ones who need it. Bad management

Truly awful health insurance options

Pros

The staff / my colleagues are excellent!

Cons

My company was acquired by WSP and I thought a perk of working for one of the world's biggest professional services firms would mean improved benefits. NOPE. WSP in the U.S. does not offer any health insurance plans that include coverage prior to meeting a deductible. This means that I need to forfeit necessary health services - like therapy and physical therapy - that I cannot afford. These services were a mere $25 copay with my prior insurance and will now cost me up to $1500 per session with WSP's insurance (before meeting my deductible - which will take some time to do). A firm this big should be able to provide better benefits for their staff and this blatant disregard for employee well-being makes me wonder where their money is really going. At the very least, it shows me they really don't care about their staff at all.
