Pros

Hired on at 15 an hour end of 2018, decent enough pay for the position. Was taking less calls for more money.

Cons

Lied to consistently about hiring practices, entire training class again and again were advised after 6 months if we have the job after seasonal hires are let go at the end of demcember we will be in. December comes and now we have to wait for 3 month reviews to happen to be considered for hire. Wait another 3 months, now their 'hiring process' means you are competing with every contractor in the building for 1 of 3 spots that open annually. Good as a short time gig, be ready to pack your bags when you've had enough, and they do let go of people same day without warning advising they can leave or finish their shift.

Pros

- Decent compensation - May be a good thing to have on your resume since it is a large multinational company - Working with marquee clients - Telecommuting flexibility

Cons

- mid-market leadership demonstrates bad culture (i.e., participating in gossip, not practicing what they preach, lying to cover up their mistakes, throwing employees under the bus with everything that goes wrong, blatant favoritism, tolerating bullying, etc.) - office cliques; it's high school all over again - random firings with no substantial reason at all; to make matters worse, they will lie about the reason to the rest of the staff once the employee is gone so as to make themselves look good at the expense of the employee's good reputation - limited growth opportunities - the best employees who contribute the most get "rewarded" with all the work that no one wants/or has time to do; no work-life balance even outside of the busiest seasons - very high turnover rate; most client managers leave within 1- 2 years - low morale; overworked and stressed employees with no mentors; sink or swim mentality; if we are supposed to figure out everything on our own, that what in the world is leadership there for?! - your ideas are not taken into consideration; if you have an issue, it is always your problem. - lack of respect as leadership habitually talks down to you; manipulative management tactics as they use fear, humiliation and bullying to get you to do or not do something - lack of job role clarity - micromanagement is definitely a thing here

Pros

Very smart and driven leaders keep the company moving forward in an environment where the ability to innovate is otherwise relatively limited. With so much intellectual capital, all other employees have plenty of opportunity to deliver high quality results to WTW's clients. The company has also evolved its approach to flexible work environment given more employees the opportunity to work from home occasionally.

Cons

As opportunities to increase revenue has been limited, the compensation and benefits packages, and opportunities for advancement, don't seem to have kept up with employee performance. As a result many talented people have moved on to corporate jobs instead. WTW's transition to an open work environment (i.e., no offices) is representative of its attempt to save money and evolve, but without enough consideration of the type of worker it alienates.
