Pros

Started as a contractor, worked many years and received great reviews within original department. Great people to work with during acquisition and merger. Review process was fair during my tenure in my original department where I met or exceeded goals yearly with up to 8% increases. Excellent severance package and benefits.

Cons

Prior to transfer I was in a state of grey area which were words from my manager between admin and analyst and continued to be shut down when asked for training to move into a project manager role. Transferred to new department to expand and grow my career but quickly learned the line of business was in trouble and loosing clients. Poor management lead to a layoff after corporate sent in a team to restructure the business. No offer to move back to previous department however I learned that another employee was offered to return to her previous LOB that we both came from. Everyone in the group had an inflated job title and sense of worth yet they did not want to train just preach from their loud third-world office overseas. Their integration was sloppy and they had trouble working with people from WTW.

We commend your journey from being a contractor to becoming a permanent colleague. At the same time, we feel sorry, too, for the difficult experiences later on. As we are keen to improve, please know that we will use this to continually improve colleagues' experiences. Thank you for taking time to send your feedback.

Pros

Initial compensation for new hires is good to excellent. There is a strong flexible work arrangement for many locations, where you can work from home some days, and then be in the office other days, ideal for working parents.

Cons

Normal bonus and salary progression doesn't meet rate of inflation for most non-managerial positions. The company is, at best, unconcerned for retaining employees.

Pros

- Flexibility with hours - Ability to work from home three days a week - Starting pay is very good if you come from one of the firm's benefits administration competitors - Mostly a 40~45 hours/week job

Cons

- Baptism by fire, in every meaning of the word - Very redundant training process that takes 6 weeks - Almost zero communication - Everyone is always busy that, starting out, you will never be able to get any help unless you nag continuously for days - Things get put on the back burner for far too long - Expected to be available during PTO even if someone else can take care of the issue - Never knowing whether you'll need to work late or even the weekend - Mostly a 40~45 hours/week job. Very rarely will it be exactly 40 hours, and during busy season it will go up to 55+ hours/week
