Pros

- Social team culture with lots of networking opportunities and events; I truly love and miss many members of my team - Modern office space with few in-person requirements - Consulting is a good space to start your career/build a wide skillset while figuring out what you do and don't like - If you're passionate about the insurance/brokerage space it's a great community but not for everyone - Good opportunities for actuaries - Fair starting salary if in LCOL environment

Cons

- Very hard to get feedback on work which makes growth difficult, lack of training/guidance - People managers/project assignments can make or break your experience here - Fear-mongering leadership style is not inspiring or motivating - Subjective feedback based on "vibes"/corporate politics rather than concrete metrics - Sink or swim environment - Conservative culture, felt unaligned with my values - Extreme lack of diversity in my market segment, team could be more LGBTQ friendly - Transformation was handled poorly ("In the next 30 minutes you will receive an email saying whether or not you were laid off"); when leadership came in to receive feedback from those who weren't laid off we were told we weren't allowed to discuss transformation which is messed up - Raises not up to par with COL adjustments/competitors

Pros

Intelligent and driven people that make the culture interesting and good for collaboration.

Cons

Organizational restructuring is ongoing and realignment of management and teams continues. Unfortunately, management often does not have an answer as to the how, when, why so this creates a lack of trust and confidence in the company. I have worked at many companies and with bright people but there is an odd air of arrogance and fake office culture at this company. People who have been there and endured the multiple mergers seem more concerned about their own stability and growth versus truly trying to collaborate and support new colleagues. There was also very much a culture of being over-worked and that being the acceptable norm. This year they laid off talented people across teams and then re-hired and/or outsourced overseas. Suggest you look elsewhere at firms with better culture, work life balance, and organizational leadership.
