Pros

Training - Most of our sales force comes to us right out of college with minimal sales experience. Worldwide believes in its training and exhausts itself on bringing their reps up to speed. When a sales rep is hired, they're shipped to Dallas for Basic Sales training (one week long class). Upon arriving back to their respective markets, the rep's training does not stop, they'll receive hands on/real world training from their management. In the weeks following Basic Sales, the reps will also have the opportunity to participate in bi-weekly conference calls with their training class, which elaborate on the events that are unfolding in the field. Depending on customer count, revenue, and tenure, reps will also attend Advanced Basic and the invitation only A.C.E. training. Reputation - I feel confident stepping to any door or business owner and letting them know who I represent. There are many other companies who have similar products, but we are definitely in a league of our own with who we represent and how we go to market. Partnerships - Worldwide has partnered with best in class carriers. With regards to small package shipping, who better to associate your name with than UPS? From a freight standpoint, Worldwide's freight portfolio consists of 30 top notch LTL carriers for regional/national moves. You will always have pristine carriers to back you while in the field. Financial Reward & Growth Opportunities - Going back to working at Worldwide being one of the best decisions I've made... I started as a sales rep with this company in 2008, I made "Field Sales Manager" in 2009 and "District Sales Manager" to start 2010. Prior to choosing Worldwide, I had a job offer from another company with more of a household name. Their name was nice, but the pay scale was a bit more conservative. I took the more aggressive route and went with WWE, since then I've climbed the ranks in terms of position and pay - great decision. Recognition/Competition - We receive weekly reports for both sales reps and offices. This helps increase the awareness of how your colleagues are performing and helps to maintain the competitive nature within Worldwide. There's also a National Sales Contest, which consists of many nice cash/tangible rewards which are handed out at our annual conference in Hollywood, FL. At a local level, there are always incentives and smaller competitions, which help make the job fun.

Cons

This business is not for everyone... I repeat, not for the weak at heart! One con, is that there are a lot of things that are outside of your control; we are selling shipping services and issues can arise that you cannot immediately fix.

Pros

Worldwide Express truly appreciates their employees and is always working on ways to grow and further develop everyone. I have been with the company for over 4 years as an account manager and just over two years ago, I was promoted to Senior Account Manager in a market in Orange County, CA. The corporate team has a deep investment in the Business Development program and is constantly looking for ways to further our knowledge of the products we offer and our overall business model. By them able to do this for us, it allows us to go out to our current customers and offer them solutions that are not always brought to their attention, and therefore strengthening the customer relationship. The training programs that are provided offer some of the best tools for new hires in the business world. Worldwide Express has always done a great job making sure that every training you go through provides the needed resources for you to be able to go into the field and be the most effective when working with customers. Training from Worldwide Express has helped me target our customers in the most effective way, which in turn has allowed for my promotion in this position and the potential for more doors to be opened as well within the company.

Cons

The only advice I would have is that you have to be willing to work hard to get what you want. Sometimes, your days can be long and business can flucuate, but if you are a hard worker, this company is perfect! You need to be ready to work hard and rewards will quickly follow with compensation and promotions.
