Pros

The culture was very cozy and friendly. You had access to seasoned employees...people work there forever. I loved my department.

Cons

Low salary; even though I had a Master's degree in the field I was working in, my salary did not reflect any additional education. My annual raise was $.50. They are behind the times in regards to technology and if you work there too long you can date yourself and not be able to obtain a position at a more advanced company. Lots of paper not automated.

Pros

I love too see my regular customers, they put a smile on my face every time.

Cons

There is nothing that I really dnt like about it because I was there everyday so I loved what I do. The only thing I can say is Waffle House has some poor management.

Pros

All the Waffle House food you care to eat- more or less. In my experience, The best part of the business is the customers, especially the regulars. I enjoying cooking and interacting with people, getting to know my customers, new and old.

Cons

Pay has never come close to what was explained to me during hiring that other area Unit Managers were making. Pay still is not meeting what was "guaranteed" for my first year as a Unit Manager. I spend way too many hours working and answering phone calls and messages from my staff because they can never seem to think for themselves or solved problems without involving me. Plus, the extra work i am being told I need to do to accurately track and remedy my food cost, sales and other problems, will require even more hours and nights away from home- and I already work 60 -70 hrs a week. Some managers seem to like the job and see it as easy, I would have to disagree. This has been the hardest, most stressful, and unnecessarily demanding job I've worked.
