Pros
- 24 days paid vacation per year, as long as you're okay with working the other 341.
Cons
- Only one manager per store. No assistant or co manager for a 24-hr business. - On call 24/7. - IMPOSSIBLE to keep employees. You will go through 45+ people a year. If someone doesn't show up, You're expected to work their shift to cover it . - No help for upper management. - NO HOLIDAYS OFF...if you're married, prepare to get a divorce. - 6 on, 2 off schedule. Unless there is something going on, then they will take your days off from you and not replace them. - Pay is awful vs the amount of hours you will work each week (65+) - You're expected to do your own maintenance in the restaurant as there is ONE maintenance man for every area which consist of 25+ restaurants. - Turnover rate is EXTREMELY HIGH. - Bonus structure changes every year, and not for the good. - You're expected to pick up employees and transport them to work if they don't have a ride. You have to cover the cost of gas yourself. - Some people are brought in as potential district managers if they "tested well" during the interview process, and will be moved up in 6 months even if you outperform them on a weekly basis. - You have to return to the restaurant every night for shift change. - No 401K, only stock options. - Medical insurance cost is absurd. Was $364 for 2 people. My wife pays $400 for 5 people at (she doesn't work for Waffle House of course). Can't think of any more at the moment. Its an awful job overall.
