It is what it is

Pros

Regular customers who care about employees as humans, not just as a servant to them

Cons

Working as a tipped employee gives you no financial stability, and now WH is implementing a new procedure where they enter your credit card tips, they are taxed, then paid weekly via paycheck. Let's be honest, we are servers because it gives us the ability to take our pay home everyday. I know most restaurants do this now, but I am not a fan of it, and I do not trust anyone other than myself to claim correct tip amounts for me.

The Way I See It

Pros

Weekly pay. 1st shift makes the most tips. 2nd shift is usually slow. 3rd shift you have more ToGo orders. You get a $100 yearly bonus around Christmas (it's taxed) you get to invest in stock. You can move up; just takes a while.

Cons

You are expected to work every weekend and every holiday. Management suck. The hourly pay is ridiculous. No break (you're on your feet the whole shift- mainly 1st & 3rd) meal credit comes out your check everyday that you work regardless if you eat/not so I suggest you eat something. Big meats you have to pay for. Certain drinks you have to pay for. No real benefits.
