Pros

They care about their staff as well as their customers and products. The discounted breakfast and lunch at break times is delicious. The Christmas bonus is also great no matter what level you are at. They are keen to promote in-staff.

Cons

My role was to put out stock, however this was quite pressurised and they gave you loads to do in a certain timeframe (although to be honest they never got angry if you didn't manage to complete this). It was difficult to achieve as the stock was fairly heavy (I was often unpacking heavy multipacks of drinks) and you were often interuppted by customers (which is fine, it's part of the role) to go and retrieve stock upstairs. Makes completing your task in a certain time frame difficult.

Pros

the pay is good and once you get to know you're colleagues it can be fun!

Cons

management don't consider study leave, and often when they hire mostly students?! they also leave people doing certain thing for hours, such as spending a while 8 hour shift only on checkouts?!? ridiculous

Pros

Friendly colleagues, good pay, easy to pick up overtime, under 18s especially well looked after by line managers, training is thorough, generous breaks and holiday allowance, very positive working environment

Cons

Lack of flexibility with the rota - not always ideal for a student as hours are set in stone every week and aren't very accommodating for exams/deadlines - students would be better off with more casual bar/restaurant work
