Pros

Great bonuses such as partner discount in waitrose and John Lewis the bonus every partner receives every year and also by working for the company you own some shares in the company makes you feel apart of the company.

Cons

Can be very stressful if we are understaffed and also the working hours because it's retail some of the shifts are either very early or late.

Very friendly staff and always willing to help in any way they can. Pay with the bonus is a fair representation of how hard we work

Cons

The work rate between sections massively varies resulting in an unfair workload between staff who are on the same pay rate.

Pros

Decent pay and good discount and partner benefits. Cracking food in the PDR at great prices. Nicely laid out store to work in.

Cons

Demanding managers as a result from pressure from above. Seem very blunt and almost rude at times. No encouragement or support in relation to the job. A little bit of praise wouldn't go a miss every once in a while. Trying to take holidays has been a joke for myself personally. I've never had a request accepted. This is purely down to the fact that we are so short staffed it's unreal. No flexibility so I suffer.
