Pros

Good steady job, good benifits and a bonus.

Cons

The pay is lowsy compared to other retailers and the management could do with some improvements.

Pros

Lots of other young people work there so was very welcoming and easy to make friends, meaning the job was more enjoyable. The pay is much better than other places which employ 16-18 year olds. Bonus. Time and a half on Sundays was a good incentive.

Cons

Hours not flexible so can be hard to get time off. Sometimes the work you do is not appreciated as much as it should be - measures are in place to give rewards but they are often forgotten.

Pros

Amazing opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive environment. Your line manager is always there to support you and give you advice to grow as a person and gain more self confidence.

Cons

There aren't many downsides to working at Waitrose. The only one I can think of is that when it comes to the free coffee that myWaitrose customers are entitled to you do tend to get queues of people just for the coffee without buying anything else, especially in a little Waitrose in the centre of town. Which can 1) put other customers off queuing up to buy their shopping and 2) bring down our profits.
