Cons

- After hiring multiple workers, as some left they weren't replaced, meaning additional work for everyone else

Pros

Having worked at Waitrose I can tell you that working there is brilliant. You are instantly part of the team and are encouraged to climb the ladder and go up the ranks. There are also performance reviews and not to mention the discount!

Cons

Everyday presents a different challenge. You may have to deal with stressed customers or have to unload stock within a very tight deadline, especially if it is short staffed.

Pros

There are SO many benefits to working in the John Lewis Partnership, including; Bonus, Discount and Leisure Learning... The rewards package is amazing.

Cons

After rapid progression from shop floor partner to team leader I was promised the earth in terms of development after I graduated, straight to section manager. However 5 months later and nothing. Development is inconsistent & opportunities minimal Happy to set development goals & not deliver their promises Most management have been there since 16-18 years old, means they have no external expose, i don't think their skills would be tolerated in another business
