Pros

Good pay for a retail job. You usually got a great deal of respect from customers. Managers were all good.

Cons

At the end of the day it was shelf stacking.

A real eye-opener, and not in a good way!!

Pros

Yearly bonus & partner discount

Cons

To say working for Waitrose was an eye opener is an understatement as I naively thought that the staff were rewarded well financially for their work & were treated well generally. This may well be the case but not at our branch!! Snotty managers who don't appear to appreciate or value their staff or know how to communicate with them, leading to low staff morale. The pay is surprising poor for the multiple roles we are expected to perform. Extremely limited career opportunities for grass roots staff In other words, unless desperate - avoid like the plague!!
