Pros

It's a job, I suppose.

Cons

Workers are pushed to work even if they are unwell, and if they take time off sick they are scrutinised and punished. The pay is atrocious for the amount of work the staff have to put in and management do not care about their workers.

Not the Waitrose it used to be

Pros

Staff discount, free food some of the staff are nice to work with

Cons

Bad management, overworked on repetitive jobs and getting injured. Managers refused to do anything until breaking point and then say that they’ll put you back on what hurt you in the first place. In the end forced to give up my job. Managers stay at the back and don’t show the faces on shopfloor. Team leaders are young inexperienced partners who have no idea how to lead but put in charge. Overall not the Waitrose it used to be and certainly not the Waitrose I thought I was being employed by. Disappointed with management, disappointed with branch manager and disappointed I had to leave because of an injury caused by work.
