Pros

Great benefits, helpful colleagues, lots of overtime, flexible working times

Cons

Some poor senior management especially from operations point of view warehouse illogically set out Bad training (if any at all) Too many chiefs Hard to gain promotion or move higher Routes are scheduled with NO breaks! Given routes that start before shift, so inevitably late to deliveries Verbal abuse by clients for being late etc.. Expect to be given an easy route when you start, which in no way is a true reflection of the work given afterwards Some staff are given preferential treatments on their manifest, so deliver much much less A GPS system which is outdated and Waitrose has not paid for traffic alert, so expect to be directed towards lots of traffic. Old and outdated handheld that persistently crashes and makes the job even more difficult Clothing that makes you sweat so that your underclothing is wet through Expect to carry tons of water up flights of stairs in London apartments with no lift and be treated like a second class citizen Filthy internal vans with mould where the food is Dirty food crates Great benefits, if you can afford them on the very low wages

Pros

Good pay, discounts and benefits are good, Good opportunity’s to get overtime Good company to work for Most customers and stores are nice

Cons

Being under 20 I feel that the management really push you and put too much stress on you. Also human mistakes are not well expected, I work in reductions and have occasionally missed a few on the products, this ‘mistake’ resulted in me getting disciplinary action which is ridiculous considering that it has been no more than £10 missed... Also as well a huge lack of staff in my store there is a lack of managers that actually understand how reductions, I am often running my department on a Saturday evening as the other managers haven’t got a clue what they’re doing! I am doing this on under £8 per hour and have requested a pay rise but said that I don’t have enough responsibility for it....
