Pros

You can get some experience in the retail business

Cons

horrible pay, in 5 years I have had less than a $2 raise, cliques, incomplete training, managers talk about you behind your back, suggestive selling is all they care about, not customer service, cashiers will not show up for shifts or come in two hours late with wrong uniform and still work there

Pros

15% employee discount, decent benefits, and an ever changing profit sharing match program where they match your first 2% contributed. Also ability to buy stock options, but only for the store manager position, nothing for assistants or EXA's

Cons

Long hour's on average 10 hour plus days plus a half day every other Saturday. Typical work week was anywhere from 55-60 hours. Constant cut in payroll hours, Walgreens just lost Express Scripts so there cutting back even more. Are doing away with Assistant managers, will pay someone less to be a key carrier and not have any authority.
