Pros

Competitive salary, benefits are good but expensive.

Cons

Wags has changed a lot in the 10 years I have been with them. We went from having a good amount of staff and being able to interact with patients to a skeleton crew and more demands being put on us to meet immunization quotas. I am in FL and the centralized POWER system is a disaster. They cut staff to implement POWER & now they are phasing it out but we are not getting the staffing back. Wags used to be the place to work if you were in retail but is like all the other chain pharmacies now.

Pros

Great people who got along across departments. Fun working environment even when extremely busy for black Friday, big sales etc. Had some fun employee perks. Not a lot of micro managing so you can get your work done the most efficient means possible.

Cons

Walgreen's came in and put an end to all of that. Large bloated management structure that moves slow as molasses in a freezer. Extremely fragmented and difficult to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time. Employed some very dirty practices to get drugstore people to leave, including giving bad reviews to stellar employees so they could avoid paying out bonuses. Really left a bad impression behind them. Would never recommend that anyone go work there.

Pros

I have worked for Walgreens as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the past 4+ years. I absolutely love the employees I get to work with. They make the hectic days that are bound to happen, much more manageable.

Cons

The pay is definitely not worth the amount of work that is demanded out of us. The stress from being understaffed is ridiculous. We have 3 technicians doing a 7-8 technician job. That in turn, lowers customer satisfaction.
