Company getting worse by the year.

Pros

The people I work with are good people. I enjoy coming into the office every day. They like to talk work/life balance too. Will be interesting to see how the next year progresses.

Cons

After a 1 BILLION dollar mistake the company is taking it to employees. Healthcare went up $200 - $300/ month and raises were capped at 1.5%. Overall pay will be way down next year because working here is getting so expensive.

can't retire soon enough

Pros

to start, the pay was good, and there was a reasonable amount of training and help and communication. However this declined steadily and by the time I was ready to retire, well I retired.

Cons

what little help there is, is so untrained and unwilling to help that I can't see how any customer would return. I only got prescriptions filled there because I was forced to. the lines were ALWAYS long and management was unable to schedule additional help in the evenings when the bulk of the customers would be there.

Unrealistic expectations

Pros

Pay wasn't bad and there are opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Skeleton crews, too much work not enough time/hands, preach customer service but do not have realistic views on the time it takes to properly wait on customers, never encourage their employees with positive feedback, only concentrate on what numbers aren't being met. I worked there for 10 years and watched the company go downhill steadily as far as how they treat their employees at store level. Training is also an issue. Most people are just thrown into the mix. Especially in pharmacy. Definitely need more employees per shift to be covered. Workers would be happier, customers would be happier.
