Pros

I feel my input and effort are accepted and valued. /even as a technician, I am allowed a lot of opportunities to help patients.

Cons

As with many corporations, an employee can be caught between the unrealistic requirements of the company and the unreasonable demands of the customer/patient. You sometimes disappoint one or the other in an effort to just get your job done.

Pros

I love my job because I feel I am, indirectly, helping people to manage their health issues. All the tasks I perform during my shift allow the pharmacist to shorten the patient's wait time for their prescriptions and she/he can spend few minutes to advise patients.

Cons

It is a very stressful job, the phone is ringing constantly and we must answer within the 3rd ring. Some patients are very rude and demanding and technicians are the ones that get blamed for anything, no matter what. We have no time to take any break except the 30 minutes lunch break. The pay per hour is so low that I often wonder why I am still there. The money I spent on college tuition and books in order to get my certification and the TX license was definitely not worthy for the little pay I get.
