Pros

Better pay than most retail, employee discount, paid holidays, 401k match, met some amazing people with phenomenal work ethic, learned about pharmacy and OTC items, promotions are feasible if you are smart and work hard. It's never boring.

Cons

LONG DAYS. An "on shift lunch" in a high volume store equals no lunch. The store manager and district manager can make or break your experience working here. There are some great managers, but there are more underhanded and deceitful ones. No work life balance for management without putting yourself in hot water. .. Constantly cutting hours beyond what seems prudent or logical

Pros

Good coworkers. A strong push on development of employees (albeit with no payroll to do so combined with poor training resources).

Cons

Upper management (anyone above DM) only cares about looking good and trying to get promoted, and as a result have completely unrealistic expectations of the DMs and store level positions given the resources we have. Constantly cutting payroll and still asking of the same expectations. They want their cashiers (!) knowing about and talking to customers about things like: Medicare D, Flu Shots, and any other company initiative that comes down. Store Mangers are held accountable if any of the ridiculous amounts of things we are expected to make the cashiers/technicians do are not done - i.e., sell flu shots, talk to seniors about Med D, ask every patient to sign up for digital services, etc.

Pros

Decent pay, paid vacation, sick days, 401k, employee discounts, flexible hours/days, somewhat able to transfer from store to store.

Cons

This used to be a great company to work for. However, in light of recent company restructuring, hours are cut constantly, and positions are continuously being revamped. Employees are expected to be robots with forced greetings. You are always being pushed to sell something and expected to meet certain sales quotas.
