Pros

A lot of retail training and OJT, discount 10%.

Cons

Not much room for advancement, only top 1% of retail managers make anything above 50K annually. Then only after 10 + years at least. Very clique like atmosphere among management. If you care for the associates and stand up for them you will be punished.

Pros

There is opportunity to work in a variety of environments. If you are not happy in one department it is very easy to move to another.

Cons

There is no respect from friends, family and the outside world if you work at Wal-Mart. There are too many managers that conflict with each other on projects and goals.
