Pros

Easy work (AT TIMES) Decent job if you're in college Discounts

Cons

It's open 364 days a year and open 24/7 days a week. So naturally, you probably won't have much of a life outside of work. The managers (especially assistant managers) have it worse in that aspect. Anyway, the job doesn't pay as much for the amount of work that they have you doing at times. If you came to me and paid me to build a house, then request that I build you a car soon afterwards, I should get paid for that also, right? Those are two different areas of work and building a car wasn't apart of the job description, so I should expect to get paid for each one, right? Wal-Mart doesn't operate like that. You would think that they would hire more employees to fill in some much needed positions, but instead they'll have you doing extra work. If I'm constantly doing other people's work (from cart pusher, to cashier, all the way to unloading trucks), I expect to get compensated for it. But I'm a part-timer, so I guess they figure they can just use me as cheap labor. It's a tough pill to swallow when you've recently graduated from college (Finance degree) and the only sniff of a job has been a part-time $7.50/hr gig at Wally World. Anyway, six months in, that has been my experience so far. I wouldn't dare work in retail as a career. Also, those assistant managers can be a pain in the @ss sometimes.
