Pros

Good pay and advancement opportunity and no college required.

Cons

It's retail, so you're on the "B" schedule - Be here!

Pros

I work with some really good people. Pay isn't bad in my current position.

Cons

Not a very clear direction from store management and upper management for that matter. The company, in recent years has been making changes in the way things are being merchandised. Going to clear AA's and extending endcaps...then reverting back to the way it was before. That was millions wasted in fixtures and labor. The company gives direction to do something one way, then the Market Manager will do it another. A day at work can be confusing at times. It seems that the merchandising direction that the company is on now is that of desperation.

Pros

They're very good at working with your schedule. If you say you're not available for certain times or days they don't have you work then. They pay above minimum wage. It's a mindless job and I liked the people I worked with.

Cons

There are no opportunities for full-time employment. The company tries to cut costs when they can, including benefits. Part-time employees don't get any benefits for a year, and even then it's not very good benefits. It's in the contract that you can't join a union. You don't get your discount card until you've worked with them for 90 days. You don't get paid holidays until you've worked for them for 90 days. Customers are rude and it forces you to bend over backwards for them even though you know they're just taking advantage of you.
