Pros

I think that walmart is a good place to work, the opportunity for career advancement is pretty good, if you have the right attitude, and a willingness to work.

Cons

By walmart being a 24/7 business, you have to work a lot of nights and weekends. which is not great, but you've got to be there when the business is there.

Pros

there is lots of room for advancement. after working for a year you get benefits. after six months if you are full time.

Cons

there is a low starting wage no matter if you are a sales associate or a maintenance associate. schedules make it hard to get another job.

Pros

If you work hard and stick with the company you can do very well. They have very simple and easy guidelines for promotion and raises. I have had not problem getting the highest evaluation whenever my yearly review has come.

Cons

The only down side is that there are so many people that you grow to like, and its hard to advance beyond people I care about.
