Pros

They have good benefits as in insurance and stock options

Cons

When hired they pumped into us how we were to be managers and manage people and they even have a specific routine you are supposed to follow. But when you get out into the stores and work that routine takes a back seat to throwing freight and emptying pallets...mostly due to their mis-management of the people at the store manager level and an assistant has no leverage no matter how qualified

Poor training opportunities, communication can be flawed, input is not encouraged from all.

Pros

Great schedule. 3 days on, 3 days off. The salary is above average for retail and job security is good as long as you perform.

Cons

Very structured. There is not a lot of room for "thinking out of the box". Many inexperienced assistant managers who struggle with promotion from hourly to salaried supervisors.
