Pros

It is a port in a storm if you are unemployeed and beena paycheck and don't mind living in Bentonville, AR.. The cafeteria is good.

Cons

Corporate Office: There are a lot. I checked off good advancement opportunities. However this was not for a good reason. It's because so many people, management included, are constantly leaving. I'm not impressed (more like shocked) with those that are being promoted. They're always looking for people on the web based job boards, again, because so many people leave. They make no reservations about making quite clear, that once you're there, your job comes first, above ALL else! Crumby working in little cubicles that are noisy. My observation is that many devoted people there work in fear and keep their heads down and mouths shut to avoid conflict.

Pros

Good place to work for people that are just starting out or just out of college and looking for management experience. good benefits. good family atmosphere customers are so so. wal mart has a good discount on goods. i think that

Cons

working at wal mat is only bad. the pay is not done by performance but by how much butt kissing that you can do. management just cares about the numbers and the profit and not about saving money. managment is not par of the wal mart family

Pros

I enjoy working for a company that has integrity and treats me with fairness and respect. The Career opportunities are there for those prepared to work hard. The company communicates well generally through an online system called the wire. Wal*Mart strives to keep communication lines open through it's massive workforce. Wal*Mart has many support programs available to help individuals and families and stays ahead of high tech programs.

Cons

Stressful due to understaffing on overnights with new programs requiring more than what can be accomplished with the minimum staffing throughout the company.
