I absolutely love working for Walter’s. I worked in the telecommunications industry for 13 years and I was burned out. I stumbled on the server position at Walter’s and I finally found something I’m passionate about. You feel like you are part of a family. Everyone is so supportive and willing to go above and beyond to help further you in the company.

Cons

There are a lot of little things that get neglected at the venues that I don’t feel like Walter’s wants to spend money on to keep them looking top notch. I do wish they would offer healthcare benefits.

Operational Success; When an event runs smoothly, it's a testament to strong planning and teamwork. Seeing an event come together is rewarding especially when contributed to the behind the scenes efforts. Vision, Future, Growth; The company's long-term vision and collaboration with partners is impressive. Being part of a company with ambitious plans for the future can provide opportunities as the organization grows.

Cons

Emotion driven decisions; Observations of decisions based on emotions rather than logic, can lead to inconsistent policies, unclear expectations, or reactive decision-making, which negatively impacts staff morale and operations. Anxiety of preparedness; Whether venues have everything they need for events can be stressful. The fear of missing essential resources increases anxiety for staff members and creates last-minute scrambling, which effects overall event quality. Demanding workload/work-life balance; Long hours and a workweek that stretches into weekends and holidays. Lack of downtime leads to burnout and negatively affect mental and physical health. Difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

As a Wedding Specialist in the HTX Collection, I get to work with couples during one of the most exciting times of their lives, and it’s truly fulfilling. The company provides a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and professional development. The leadership is approachable and genuinely cares about both the team and the clients we serve. They empower us to customize experiences for couples, making every wedding unique and special. The venues are absolutely stunning, and the all-inclusive packages we offer provide great value, which makes my job easier and clients happy. One of the standout experiences for me was being invited to the company retreat in Cabo, Mexico after just three months of working here! It was an incredible opportunity to meet the owner and connect with teams from other regions. Expanding my friendships with colleagues during the retreat made me feel even more welcome and part of the Walters Wedding Estates family. There’s a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, and we’re all passionate about what we do. Whether you’re looking to start a career in the wedding industry or grow within it, Walters Wedding Estates is a fantastic place to be. The work is fast-paced and detail-oriented, but the impact we have on couples’ big days makes it all worth it. Plus, the flexibility and support from management help maintain a good work-life balance.
