Pros
They're big on training and growth. Constantly trying to improve. There are a lot of really amazing people who work here and it's truly a family company. They hire people for keeps and there are a lot of tenured people here who've made this their career. Overall, it's not the worst place I've worked and there are some good things about it.
Cons
The pay structure here is broken, and while they're trying to fix it they're also trying to start a pay for performance program. It works well for a certain demo, but for the entry level and lower paid emplyees it's bad. Management says they're willing to accept feedback, but you can't give constructive criticism without paying a price on your evals for it. Nepotism is rampant. The required training is well-meant and does a lot of good, but upper management doesn't take their own advice to gain trust, have productive conversations, or manage their own emotional responses. They're moving everyone (even HR) away from private offices so if you want to talk to HR about something private or if the conversation turns, you run the risk of someone else hearing it. It's also more distracting to work. Diversity in the corporate office, especially female employees is really low. I don't think there's any kind of diversity program like I've seen at other places and they protect their "culture" carefully so I doubt that they will implement anything like that.
