Pros

Easy as hell Non-thinking Task-oriented--if you prefer to keep busy Management and employee relations are well-kept Salary's decent enough for a first job, or in comparison to other "comparable" jobs.

Cons

Customers ask extremely stupid questions Customers tell extremely repetitive or nonsensical jokes Customers scream, whine, and complain for reasons that are generally their fault--or for sometime no reason at all Customers apparently have no skill in basic arithmetic. For some reason, requesting a penny for 8.01 from a twenty-dollar bill is such a complicated thing. Customers move extremely slow at the most improbable times. Ugliest customer base I've ever seen

Pros

Wawa is a very flexible company and offers a lot of benefits to its associates in terms of bonuses, flexible schedules (both for store and corporate employees), and the benefit of a well-known and easily recognizable brand. Wawa is very active in the community and makes a lot of resources available for community assistance. In many ways, it's a great place to work.

Cons

It's hard to get ahead at Wawa, especially on the corporate side. Not a lot of opportunities for advancement. Much of the mid to upper management has been there forever, with no changes in sight. A lot of promotions are based more on politics than on what you've accomplished.
