Pros

Working from home The culture The company events that made you feel included even though you were a virtual employee Benefits were also good

Cons

Compensation-Even working from home $14 an hour is not enough to live off of Quality Assurance-I get Wayfair has a lot of employees but using software to ensure we're hitting key points on calls doesn't seem beneficial Not being able to be one's true self due to the fact that you had to be sure you were hitting those key phrases on calls made the work feel scripted

Bad Manager=Bad Work Environment

Pros

-my co-workers were the main reason I stuck around for as long as I did. -good benefits/capability to work from home -pod outings and site mixers

Cons

-management-I had a manager who had no clue how to manage a team. No previous management experience and her way of communicating was by showing her stress and blaming the team for everything. -gossip fueled environment-so much gossip at work that is became unbearable-my manager would talk about other members of the team to her direct reports, would loudly talk about other departments employees in front of other teams. -metrics/goals-always changing goals for your performance as a recruiter for year end review. You could be a top performer within your team or site and with the way that recruiters are ranked for the company, you could still be underperforming. Favoritism plays into promotions as well-so make sure your on not only your managers good side, but senior managers and above as well!

Pros

Lots of freedom in what you do for customers, pay is good

Cons

Management is not qualified, spoiled customer clientele, and leadership picks favorites. Processes also continuously change and company does not truly care about their employees. They pretend like they have all of this wonderful company “culture” but all it really is is just a way to make things cushy so you don’t think it’s really as bad as it is. They also say there is a ton of upwards mobility but that is not true either.
