Toxic Culture, Poor Leadership, and High Turnover — Proceed with Caution

Business Outlook

Pros

Fully remote work flexibility with decent tech tools and systems in place. Opportunities to work with a wide variety of clients across industries.

Cons

Frequent organizational changes with little communication or transparency from leadership. Inconsistent and sometimes retaliatory management behavior, especially when raising concerns or offering feedback. High pressure to meet unrealistic KPIs with little support or work-life balance. Lack of clear career advancement paths; promotions often feel political or metrics-blind. Morale is low in many teams due to burnout, micromanagement, and fear-based culture. DEI initiatives are often performative and not reflected in day-to-day team dynamics or leadership accountability.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

I was hired as Bulk picker. I knew things would be pretty heavy since it’s a furniture warehouse, but there are things like fireplaces that easily weigh 150+ lbs that are at the highest level that you’re expected to pick by YOURSELF (even though it’s clearly says team lift) on a Cherry picker. VERY DANGEROUS. But most of all, the team leads barely train you for all of 10-15 mins and look at you crazy when you ask for help on something THEY failed to train you on. Management is incompetent as well, always talking on their personal phones on the warehouse floors and gossiping. When you’re hired, they don’t introduce themselves to you and you’re pretty much thrown to the wolves. Lots of petty gossip especially if you’re a female. You’re constantly watched and gossiped about by male coworkers, waiting for you to either quit or mess up. No one eager or willing to help. The overall atmosphere is unwelcoming, They treat you like an outcast and it’s very sexist. Definitely not worth it.

Pros

You'll work with wonderful people and tech stack is state of the art.

Cons

Leadership is too fickle and keeps laying off people and does reorg often.
