Pros

Lots of room to bring new ideas and actually make a difference to your team and how things are done in the organization. Employees are given a direction/goal, and then a lot of responsibility to design solutions on their own Impactful work is acknowledged/rewarded. Busywork is discouraged with a focus on using time efficiently towards projects which will drive improvements/growth (which is good, who wants to do busywork?) Company is constantly looking for feedback from employees and focused on driving employee satisfaction - quarterly mini-surveys and one large annual survey. Lots of transparency from every angle - emails from founders and senior leaders, ask-me-anythings, coffee chat culture, feedback policies, etc. Asking questions and picking apart how we do things and why is encouraged! Good benefits, good pay, high bar of expectations but rewarding career opportunities

Cons

The company is growing fast, and work volume and pace are both heavy. This can be really rewarding and offer a lot of opportunities for growth, but it can also be overwhelming for those who aren't comfortable operating in ambiguity or who can't self-drive their work. Doing your job well is the baseline expectation for employees, but people can get trapped in the mentality of "I did everything I asked, why am I not getting promoted?" - promotions here are given to those who demonstrate drive to tackle more than is expected from them. There are pros and cons, and this mentality definitely separates those who don't enjoy role ambiguity from those who thrive in it. Being able to really drill into and organize your priorities will help you manage time, don't be afraid to ask for help or be transparent with your manager when there's more on your plate than you can handle. It's very easy to get involved in a lot of projects and become bogged down. Always be clear on what your priorities are and expectations from your manager.

Pros

Fast Paced and collaborative work environment

Cons

Lack of accountability from product leadership. Layoffs in February only affected junior employees, only one director level employee was let go but dozens of junior PMs and hundreds of other junior level employees laid off. Zero responsibility from the leaders to address their poor planning and outcomes. If you're not immediately placed on a high impact team your career growth will be stunted. Very few management opportunities in the PM world as it's a very top heavy team (very few junior level employees). Post-corona review process is extremely convoluted, if you have a family or other conditions that make life harder than others you better hope you have a boss with the same issues otherwise you might have an extremely hard time.
