Pros

Wayfair is working to enable developers to be more self-sufficient with automated, self-service pipelines and industry-standard tooling.

Cons

Executive leadership rarely responds to employee questions. As questions over Return to Office became more frequent, executive leadership decided to remove anonymity from all-hands questions and, on multiple occasions, called out individuals by name during all-hands presentations. Following the most recent round of layoffs, executive leadership announced that they had decided on a layoff rather than shutter some of our smaller lines (Birch Lane, Perigold, All Modern, or Joss and Main) or shutting down our new physical stores. They said that Wayfair had actually been doing well in recent months, but they wanted to invest more, then went on to say that we would be hiring back in a new India office. Wayfair markets stock as a large part of employee salaries. Employees are encouraged to view their stock as part of the overall take-home. For the last year, Wayfair has internally valued this stock between $200 and $300 a share despite Wayfair's stock being deemed "overvalued" at $46. For a year, Niraj has said that the executive team were looking at a way to "rightsize" this for employees, but this never came. When I joined, Wayfair had a fantastic culture of inclusion, transparency, and valuing employees. All of that has vanished in the last year. The culture I see today is one driven by profits at any cost.

Pros

Great Manager, Great team !! Work -life balance fully depends on the team. Great perks, above average salary and benefits for full-timers.

Cons

No loyalty towards employees. Inefficiency of senior management have lead to 3 layoffs in the last 2-3 years. This has created a very insecure work environment for whoever is still left there. Still functions like a mid size company even with its 15k+ workforce. Don't forsee success in Europe; but you never know!
