Pros

Incredible opportunity to learn and grow professionally. Smart people are the majority here, and every day makes you sharper. Free internal classes and talks are consistently offered Tech stack is always evolving and adapting. Equity grants and other company discounts and perks are very nice. Excellent work life balance Free beer all the time Free food a lot of the time

Cons

PHP is the main language used at Wayfair, and it ain't perfect. There are definitely some bad eggs in management, but few and far between.

Pros

People are great, snack wall, beer on tap, the usual. Wayfair really looks after their employees with activities to keep the morale going. Your team has the option of having monthly outings and they host quarterly/seasonal parties for their employees. Dress code is casual--which is a huge plus, no one wants to wear slacks and a button down top everyday--especially during the winter when it's cold and you don't have the option of wearing flats. It's an open office where you can easily turn over and ask your colleague questions.

Cons

Communication isn't the greatest here. You see employees very frustrated with others over the lack of communication and when said employees attempt to get communication going, other employees see this as them attempting to run a dictatorship. Some employees also get it in their head that they "run the show" and don't understand that projects are a collaborative effort. Again--the higher you get, the more they lack in communication
