Pros

It has a nice office environment, in Berlin, and it is well located. The people for the most part were nice and helpful. But that was about it.

Cons

The management was a mess. Had a very rough experience with a manager, the team was not well taken care of, the morale was low and it created a highly stressful and frustrating environment. Not flexible regarding working hours and working from home as so many times it was said it was. Promotions or salary bumps didn't happen as often as they should.

Pros

Developers have almost no overtime in Berlin.

Cons

Codebase from your darkest nightmares. Forget the "fancy" stuff you using daily since 2010s, you will not find it here. There will be HARDLY a chance to keep your skills up to date. Windows based developer workstations (it's tricky to get a mac unless you're writing some ios thingy). There are, in average, 2 managers for every 3 developers. Of course, bad managers (it would be too easy otherwise). Lack of vision, short term project ownership and awfully prepared tasks are included in the package. Developer (I mean all those regular dev) is responsible for making people do their work, this is called “establishing personal connections”. If a team is in trouble, no-one responsible will act unless an issue directly hurts them or your teammate starts annoyingly poke someone. Work is hardly related to engineering. Mostly it’s a matter of quickly fixing something urgent stuff here and there. No career opportunities (don't believe recruiters, there is no space to grow).
