Pros

Potential? I guess. New location at a growing company.

Cons

Was involved in a mass hiring in which work force almost doubled in a small amount of time, unfortunately this companies identity and values went out the door when this happened. Lots of false promises and no clear answers. The company pays its recruiters and other positions way too much compared to sales people that actually bring in revenue. Recruiters essentially used old data to bring in nee employees especially when it comes to salaries, the B2B account manager compensation and overall commission structure is extremely flawed and based on way too many factors to even be considered a sales job. How does a company like this offer work from home opportunities for every department? The office setup/politics makes it more distracting than productive. They consider “perks” to be free coffee/beer, snacks and games around the office, which might be appealing to someone just out of college, but these kind of “perks” tend to distract people from how low the pay is compared to industry standards. I’ve never seen a company pull a “bait and switch” when it comes to hiring employees before. The recruiters really will say whatever they can to hire as many people as possible to get people to come on board knowing that the turnover is so high, essentially it’s just a numbers game. This company doesn’t set the right expectations when it comes to the job and has no consideration for people’s time and careers whatsoever. You’ll have to put at least 5 years into this job and make friends with the right people in the company to move up, hard work and leadership skills don’t matter as much when it comes to being promoted.

Pros

If you are looking for a social environment than this is the company for you. Senior management is young. Beer flowing all day long. Party environment.

Cons

Young employees that value socializing more than working. Benefits are not competitive and salary is low. Medical benefits not great. Work life for parents...non existent.

Pros

Pay and vacation time are all right Work is pretty easy - if you're into that sort of thing

Cons

Wayfair will hire you on and treat you like a fresh grad, even if you have experience, and most of your coworkers will be pretty inexperienced. The work isn't that technically challenging, but management treats their engineers like grunts to be run on a hamster wheel all day, every day. Career and skills growth feels like a Cinderella situation. Ultimately, job satisfaction and opportunity depends on being lucky enough to be on the right team. There are a few that are really good, but how can you know that you'll be on one of those? It's definitely not guaranteed.
