Pros

Pretty casual atmosphere. Pretty casual workflow. You can kind of come and go whenever so long as you get your work done.

Cons

Not a lot of opportunities to branch out. Not a lot of recognition from managers or fellow employees. My hiring manager though I was a new hire...I've been here for 3 years, if that tells you anything about the atmosphere. People aren't friendly or inviting here. It gets your foot in the door but get out quick before that foot gets stuck. They under value their employees too. You'll get more pay somewhere else.

Pros

Nothing good is here except location, Copley

Cons

- For new grads they created HELL called Wayfair Labs. - You are given low quality work to do in first 3 months and demons to look over you, they won't leave single opportunity to blame you, - You'll always be in fear because they start kicking you out .. even for small mistakes - You are punish for asking your doubts on slack(communication channel) - THE-ONE-WHO-CANNOT-BE-NAMED is king of this hell, he'll smirk at you all times, make you realize you have done terrible mistake by joining this company. - They don't judge you by any software engineering standard, THE-ONE-WHO-CANNOT-BE-NAMED knows how they judge. - HIGHLY advisable to new grads to not join this place - From the engineers I talked, Nobody is happy there, everyone is under pressure and hanging sword on your job. - Not worth to join such place, they'll make you feel you are the worst engineer.

Pros

You will learn a lot as there is a sword hanging over your head every time. Having said that, it creates an environment of continuous anxiety.

Cons

1. Hire and fire culture - More than 12 people from a batch of 30 people in Wayfair Labs were fired within 10 months. Those who survived looked stressed and feared for their jobs all the time. 2. Continuous evaluation/ micromanagement of work until they let you go. 3. Stressful, unfriendly environment, everyone looks stressed and employees always work overtime, no work life balance. 4. Low pay ~ 80k base salary - not enough to sustain in an expensive city like Boston, other companies pay much better. 5. No appreciation of work. 6. No work Visa sponsorship initially, they fire you before the Visa sponsorship time comes. 7. Managers do not have a personal relationship with employees, racist environment. DO NOT join
