Pros
1. Some really good individuals work here. 2. Wide variety of experiences.
Cons
1. Several times, meetings were called last minute or via text, but attendance was expected. This conflicted with our lunch times and disrupted the flow of clinic. 2. Clients have often times shown up WITH weapons such as tasers, pepper spray, guns, and knives. We have NO security measures to ensure our safety, even though we deliver life-changing results. 3. I have noticed MANY roaches, bedbugs, and mice droppings in the building. 4. I have observed several staff members covering for a lab technician with NO lab experience. 5. I was told that because I am not an MSM I would not be eligible for the vaccine even though I am a healthcare worker that interacts with these clients for 5-25 minutes, at a time. 6. I have requested several small items (pens, binders, clips) and was denied because they weren’t viewed as necessary, however other staff members have received very expensive items in less than a few weeks of arriving. 7. Even though I had been exposed to COVID, I was berated for leaving to take a test. 8. There have been MANY times when correspondence was sent on off-times or on the weekends, that expected response or acknowledgment. 9. I was told that I would not receive a bonus even though I had been employed for over a year. 10. There have been many times when I was criticized for having my door locked, even though I have confidential client information and my personal items inside 11. I have had personal items STOLEN from my office. 12. I have witnessed upper management having breakdowns, screaming/yelling, and physically assaulting staff members (running into them in the hallways, etc.) 13. I have witnessed clients using or being under the influence of drugs while in our clinic, restroom, or in the parking lot. 14. In less than a year, we have experienced over a dozen staff members leave our clinic. 15. There have been many times where we have no supplies such as lidocaine and tubes, that interfere with the ability of patients to receive the care they need. 16. There is NO sick time, only PTO. You need to work an entire month to be able to take a day off to accrue enough coverage. 17. I have been subjected to seeing clients with ACTIVE monkeypox exposures and symptoms, without ANY forewarning. Whatever you do, DO NOT WORK HERE. I wish I could've left sooner.
