A Mission That Will Keep You Motivated 🚀

Pros

Wayspring is such a breath of fresh air! Everyone I've met seems to be very passionate about the mission and approaching substance use disorder differently. The company is focused on providing real, evidence-based care while taking the whole person, including SDOH barriers into account. A few things I love: - Very competitive pay with one of the better benefits packages I've had. - A rapidly growing company with lots of room for advancement on the clinical and corporate side. - Mission focused team that truly cares about innovative ways to address substance use disorder. - Leadership that is willing to listen to your ideas.

Cons

Wayspring is a younger company and things can change quickly. If you aren't adaptable, this is probably not the right company for you.

Pros

I met many talented, passionate people while working here. There are SOME remote options.

Cons

This company is disorganized to say the least. Management across the board only care about numbers and making the company look good both externally and internally. They preach about their values and goals but in reality they could care less about the mission or the people on the ground doing the work every day and their actions and operations demonstrate this. You will not be supported, listened to, or valued.

Clinicians Beware

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

The CMO is a true subject matter expert in his field and is a brilliant innovator in the field of addiction medicine. That being said, he is the only clinician that garners any respect from the executive team.

Cons

This company is trying to provide support to a medically complex population despite lack of investment in clinical excellence, care management or utilization management. If you follow LinkedIn you will find this company has a high churn rate for both Registered Nurses and others with clinical-based backgrounds, while math majors with death-by-PowerPoint skills are elevated and recognized. This is not an ideal set-up for a company that is allegedly providing medical management services. The executive level strata of this company are comprised of two cliques-the NaviHealth clique and the Evolent clique. If you want an accurate assessment of the culture of Wayspring, you need to look at reviews of these two companies approximately four years ago. Neither clique seems to value clinicians, although the Evolent clique is generally easier to get along with, albeit more focused on micromanagement (in their phraseology, performance management). The NaviHealth clique is comprised of PowerPoint Geeks, and the microaggression is worse with this clique.
