Pros

Wonderful coworkers (below executive / director leadership levels) Great culture within individual offices and lower level employees Good physical offices

Cons

Beside the obvious tumult and obstacles this company has faced, the list is beyond extensive. With sales - they align teams on "team goals' which do not recognize or reward person performance, they instead punish top performers for low performing portfolios. There were times our goals were not even possible because they were beyond the actual inventory we had in our territory for the month. The pay is abysmal; people will go on leave, quit, or be let go and you are expected to fill in for roles (in my case, a superior of mine left and I was left to do his job for 6 months) without any compensation or raise. They offer promotions without pay raises. When faced with financial instability, they choose to cut top performers who are making more money vs. lower performing individuals which leaves teams left with incompetent leaders and colleagues. This is a giant popularity contest- the people who have been here forever are trauma bonded to the company and will tell you it is worth working harder, for less pay, as part of a bigger vision. Most management level leadership has 0 outside experience. There are 0 benefits- stock worth nothing, expensive health insurance, no 401k matching, not even snacks in the office. Promotion opportunities are few and far between with entire teams fighting for 1 open position; they hire favorites over performance At times, they were super strict about PTO even when you are performing well and having no problems at work.

Pros

- Incredible networking opportunity if you're situated in the right building

Cons

- WeWork has laid off upwards of 500 people and brushed it under the PR rug - 401K benefits taken away from all employees and paused indefinitely in 2023 - HR/Teams in corporate office don't do as much as the Community Department - Many instances where disturbing info was leaked internally e.g. a lewd video on Slack and an email specifically for internal employees sent across the globe - Very few WeWorks are making a profit — the rest are like ghost towns - No room for growth if you're starting in Community - The people who are promoted are the loudest people on Slack, not necessarily the most hard-working or talented
