Pros

I met some of the best people I've known at WeWork, not to mention the incredible member businesses we supported on the daily.

Cons

Though it's been a few years since my time, word on the street is that Community Associates and other "entry level" positions are still being taken for granted and treated as disposable despite that position holding up the entire community "product", offering, and experience to member businesses.

Pros

- used to have a generous benefits package, but now employees pay for their own health insurance - 4 weeks pto, 2 weeks sick (which most people use for mental health days due to burnout) - fun environment to host events/network with members - beautiful locations to work out of - community colleagues are great

Cons

- everything, and i mean everything, is left for community to handle. we are the POC for all member, and upper leadership is constantly dumping new initiatives on us, then changing their mind a week later which proves to be inconsistent with members - no room for growth at all if you are in community, unless you want to relocate to nyc or chicago - all cross-functional teams treat community as entry level employees and do not relay any information or handle support requests in a timely manner. this causes poor member interaction, and we are left to deal with upset members. - constant budget cuts and restructuring. how are you supposed to throw 2-3 events a week and only order through the approved vendor, when you let go the wework contact that was in charge of said partnership. - no accountability for senior staff. community teams work every single day in office, but other teams are able to work remote - no significant raise, and the bonus structure has changed. given inflation and cost of living, we are basically taking a massive pay cut.
