Laid Off via Webinar

Pros

Nice offices, great networking opportunity with other companies in the building, good severance package.

Cons

Was one of 2 individuals in the department/city laid off - over a webinar. They couldn't have had our manager or director do it, but put an company-wide meeting on the calendar at the same time as another company-wide meeting to a different zoom on everyone else's calendar. One zoom call was for those who were "Safe", the other was for those getting laid off that day by an HR person I'd never heard of. Not the "family" vibe WW prides itself on. Just having had my manager or area director sit me down to tell them they are performing layoffs and I would be impacted would've made all the difference. I had no idea what was going on and felt completely blind-sighted - even after a year of lay-off scares.
