Pros

Everyone knows the offices are gorgeous and you do get the freedom to work anywhere in your building and in other wework locations in your manager approves that. There is also free breakfast everyday and free dinner every Monday so that is a big plus. Also depending on the team you are on you get to take to free trips with you colleagues for free. Also it is stress free to not have to be in at exactly 9am and to be able to dress casually.

Cons

Before I was hired I asked if there was a good amount of people of color who worked for the company and the HR rep gave me a round about answer. So now that I am here I see why. The majority of people of color specifically African-American or Hispanic work as part of the cleaning crew or low income jobs. I am myself am a person of color so I always feel extremely out of place and an outcast as soon as I walk in their headquarters. And even on my actual team there are a lot of cliques to the point where you can feel extremely alone even though you’re surrounded by hundreds and of people walking up and down the hallways. So if you’re not in the “in crowd” then you will be treated like an outcast. You feel like you are working alone even though you are a part of a team. I feel more comfortable saying hi and talking and socializing with the cleaning crew then I do with my own teammates. People cast you out to the point where they don’t even want you to sit with them or even socialize with them at all to the point where they go as far as to try to avoid being in your presence. The passive aggressive behavior has taken a toll on me mentally in a negative way so I am currently job searching.

In a tight job market, why would you choose this mess?

Pros

Wework gave me the opportunity to find my niche and build my resume. But I'm not sure if the toxicity was worth it.

Cons

WeWork pays far below market and does not correct it even when you bring up these concerns to management. I left after nearly 4 years there and was immediately hired elsewhere. My new job is an extreme improvement in work-life balance -- which you should also consider when looking at how much a company pays you. Additionally, to give you some context regarding how low WeWork pays: my new job (after I left WeWork) was MORE THAN a 50% increase in take home pay. Depending on what team you're on, you may face an extremely toxic environment, complete with bullying which is enabled by management. Hard work, long hours, loyalty to the company, and innovation within your department is not valued or rewarded here -- I now know this by seeing how amazing another workplace is by comparison. Simply put, I felt taken advantage of at WeWork and I am not alone in this sentiment.

Pros

Good pay, Fast growing company

Cons

I Had high hopes when I joined wework, My values aligned with their alleged 'portrayal' and was impressed by the work culture and ethic and boy I couldn't be more wrong. The company is growing so fast and Adam usually speaks about growing pains but he's so far up that we has no idea what happens at base level. Almost everyone is stressed out and most times not cordial with anyone. Its hardly a community when no one comes out to help you in times of need. Because Wework is in 'growth' mode it will accept each and every project without even thinking about its implications financially, socially or most important environmentally. Management continuously keep changing and most of the time they are not qualified and have no people skills. For a multi-disciplinary team there is so much tension and back stabbing its hardly constructive and almost everyone is just trying to play their own agenda. This has possibility been the most toxic work environment I have ever worked in. Everything is on Chat! you don't even sit with your team which creates further communication issues than there already is. In the little time I was there I did not have a single meaningful face to face conversation with anyone. The CEO himself once mentioned the two things wework needs to work on is communication and retention of talent and I think its miserably failing on both counts. He also mentioned that we all learn and grow together and make mistakes but fortunately for him he cannot get fired.
