Pros

The corporation was supportive and stressed training and encouraged employee advancement.

Cons

The FA I worked for was unethical. In order to save time, he instructed me to change/add information to forms that had already been signed by clients. He is also a licensed attorney and knows better. I was let go because I had a problem with this business practice.

Pros

You're allowed to truly check out when the day ends. Good opportunity to move up the ladder. Highly encouraging of continuing education. Annual gifts. Seem pretty caring for a financial firm. Generally nice people.

Cons

Bonuses go straight to 401k. Pay is 15-20% lower than similar jobs I later interviewed for. Money is clearly the end-all be-all. They will delay promotions as long as you let them. Keep staff numbers low; lots of work on everyone's plate.
