Prior to any major facility upgrades in our Distribution Centers, risk assessments and OHSA compliance is a top priority. Our management teams are encouraged to actively engage with our front line team members in their work settings on a daily basis. We feel that this creates spontaneous interactions, and makes managers available to their team members in a more informal setting, allowing them to ask questions directly. This has created better relationships between our managers and employees, improving communication and enhancing trust. “Strategic delegation” is the key to optimizing the value of each employee’s output. We also feel that delegation assists with developing your team members, while fostering trust and collaboration. By delegating tasks, our leaders empower our team members to take ownership and responsibility for their work, while providing them with opportunities to learn new skills, apply their strengths, and overcome their weaknesses.
