Pros
I spent the last 2 and a half years of my professional career at Weedmaps. In that time I've worked on multiple large scale features for Android. All the people I've interacted with were wonderful and very happy to help if you needed it. The Android team is absolutely amazing in everyway. As a heads up to future Android devs applying for a position on the team: I 100% would recommend it. Everyone is super knowledgeable and very open to new ideas and ways of doing things. The team cohesion combined with technical knowledge on that team is probably the best that I've been on in my professional career. I can't speak for the teams that I've never been on but I will say that of the different squads/teams that I was in I worked with fun and knowledgeable people that made it enjoyable to go to work everyday. The managers that I've had and interacted with were wonderful people, very hands-off and trust you and your abilities to get the job done ( no micro-managing here).
Cons
I can't say I've really had a negative experience while working at Weedmaps. They could probably be more prompt when it comes time for yearly review of compensation but I know they're actively working on a better process for this.
