We are so happy to hear of your positive experience while working at Weinstein Properties! It warms our heart to hear that you enjoyed working with your teammates and that the level of kindness stood out to you. We’re also happy to hear that you were satisfied with your pay and benefits. You mentioned weekend work and late evening hours as being on the downside. We’re open on the weekends until 5pm and until 6pm on weekdays which is typical for the apartment industry as those are usually convenient times for prospective residents to visit and for residents to come in. We hope that rotating weekends amongst team members helped. We know it can be difficult when transferring to a new team so please know that directors work to ensure the move is in the employee’s best interest and that they’ll gain more knowledge and experience by doing so. We want thank you for your honest feedback and for your kind comments. We wish you all the best!

Best Company I've Worked For

Pros

Weinstein is really one big family. They even take a day out of the year to shut the entire company down and pay for their employees to go somewhere fun (Busch Gardens, Baseball games, etc.) The starting pay is fantastic, especially for someone younger just looking for a starting career. They generally only promote from within and will help anyone who is interested in growing. I've seen negative remarks about the incident reports and all the policies, but honestly I think they are fantastic. Not sure how to handle a situation? There's probably a policy for it. It keeps everything straight across the board, for the most part. The management is awesome. The Directors I've met, though strict, really know what they're doing which makes things so much easier. They really care and want their employees to succeed, within the company or not. It's truly is one of the best companies I've ever worked for.

Cons

If you get overwhelmed easily or tend to take things personally, this job is not for you. Sometimes it does get very hectic and it can feel like A LOT for one person, even in an office full of people. It's tough having applications to process, tours to take, incident reports to update, deposit accounting, all kinds of resident issues to handle, and sooooo many more things to take care of, all while having a deadline to meet on all of them. Sometimes it feels like there should be people designated to do solely leasing tasks and then others to do solely admin and office work. Myself and many of my coworkers stayed late A LOT *disclaimer: we were NEVER asked to do so and were scolded when management found out, and were then told to leave early the next day to make up for the time* just because we had SO MUCH WORK to do and it was nearly impossible to get it done during business hours. There's a fine line between not being able to handle a large workload and the workload being way too large to handle.

We loved hearing that Weinstein Properties is one of the best companies you have worked for! We agree that policies do keep everything in line and as you mentioned this is especially helpful when things get hectic around the office. Especially during the summer months, the workload can be greater but we hope that with the help of everyone on the team, the most important tasks can be divided and conquered within the work day. We encourage you to reach out to your Director or Manager as we certainly do not want you to feel like you have to stay late in order to finish work. Your overall happiness is very important to us!
